Church life in Canterbury

Canterbury is the mother city of English Christianity. Augustine arrived in 597, and the cathedral, seat of the Archbishop of Canterbury, leads the worldwide Anglican Communion. St Martin's Church, older still, is reckoned the oldest church in continuous use in the English-speaking world, and pilgrims have walked to the city for more than eight centuries.
