The church was built in 1722 for William Huntington. Its notable musical feature is an organ made in 1906 by Jubb, an organ-building firm based in Gainsborough. The wider benefice also encompasses the Anglican churches at Beckingham, Clayworth, Gringley-on-the-Hill, Misterton and Walkeringham, linking West Stockwith with neighbouring parish communities.
