About All Saints

All Saints is an active Church of England parish church in Mattersey, near Doncaster in Nottinghamshire. Dating from the medieval period, it is recognised as a Grade I listed building. The church shares its parish arrangements with churches in Clayworth, Gringley-on-the-Hill and Everton.

The church originated in the 13th century, with a date of around 1250, and underwent restoration in 1866. Two finely carved panels from the early 14th century remain unrestored and may have come from Mattersey Priory. One portrays St Martin sharing his cloak with a beggar, while the other shows St Helena discovering the True Cross. A pipe organ is also present. The tower contains a clock made by the Nottingham firm G. and F. Cope in 1921.
