About All Saints Parish Church
All Saints Parish Church stands on Plumtree Road in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. It serves as a Church of England parish church within the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham. Dating from the medieval period, it is protected at Grade I, recognising its exceptional historic and architectural importance.
The church was founded in the 12th century, with a date of around 1150. Evans and Jolley oversaw restoration work in 1877–78. After serious damage caused by arson in 1996, the building was restored again. During the plague outbreak of 1637, villagers used it to store food, while payments were passed through a hollow stone containing vinegar for disinfection. That stone remains inside. The tower contains eight bells, chiefly cast by John Taylor & Co. A clock made by Reuben Bosworth was added in 1865 and later restored in 1977 and 2006, with its dial regilded the following year.
