The Church of St. Mary is a Church of England parish church in Taunton, Somerset. It belongs to the Wiveliscombe and the Hills benefice and is designated Grade II*, recognising its particular architectural and historic importance.
A church had been established on the site by 1291. The tower and southern doorway survive from the fifteenth century, while sections of the building were reconstructed during the sixteenth century and in 1738. A northern aisle followed in 1847, with a Victorian restoration undertaken in 1881 and further conservation work completed in 2013. Built from red sandstone beneath slate roofing, the church includes a four-bay nave, chancel with a barrel-shaped ceiling, porch, vestry and a three-stage buttressed tower. Six bells hang in the tower, two dating from the fifteenth century. Interior features include a medieval rood screen, partly restored by Frederick Bligh Bond, and several sixteenth-century fittings, including the font.
