About Holy Trinity
Holy Trinity is a Church of England church on Old Church Road in Bristol, Somerset. Dating from the early fifteenth century, it is recognised as a Grade I listed building. The church also has a burial ground and an adjoining community facility known as the Trinity Centre.
The four-storey tower has an arched west entrance, windows of varying sizes, diagonal supports, pinnacles, a spire and a weather vane. It contains six bells. A porch added in 1712 was restored in 1861 with funding from C. E. Evans of Nailsea Court. Extensive work in 2003 and 2004 made the interior more adaptable: fixed pews and the balcony were removed, movable seating was introduced, and new lighting, heating, flooring and a baptistry were installed. Notable fittings include a crested octagonal stone pulpit, a font decorated with the Tudor rose and symbols of the Five Wounds, and a two-manual pipe organ made by the Sweetland Organ Company.
