The Church of the Holy Rood is a Church of England place of worship on Village Street in Edwalton, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. Its Grade II* designation recognises the building’s particular architectural and historic importance.
The church has its origins in the twelfth century. Arthur Brewill and Basil Baily reconstructed the chancel in 1894, while L. W. Nunn designed a vestry added during the mid-twentieth century. Several memorial windows survive, including early twentieth-century glass by Heaton, Butler and Bayne, and east windows made by Morris & Co. for the Turner family in 1918 and 1924. Another window, installed in 1923, commemorates Brewill himself. A small pipe organ built in 1881 had two manuals and twelve speaking stops; it was succeeded by a digital instrument in 1988.
