St Mary the Virgin is an active Church of England parish church in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. The church is protected as a Grade II listed building, reflecting its architectural and historic significance.
The building has medieval origins but underwent extensive restoration in 1873 and 1874 under architects George Frederick Bodley and Thomas Garner. Its tower was reconstructed in 1906 to designs by Percy Heylyn Currey. The chancel’s eastern stained glass has been attributed to Burlison and Grylls. An early clock made by Richard Roe was installed in 1686, before being replaced in 1889 by one from William Cope, donated by William Elliott Burnside. The later clock was taken out in 2009.
