About All Saints
All Saints is a Church of England parish church in Collingham, near Newark in Nottinghamshire. Dating from the twelfth century, it is protected as a Grade I listed building. The church belongs to a wider group of local parishes that includes churches in Langford, Holme, Girton, Harby, Clifton, South Scarle, Besthorpe, Thorney and Winthorpe.
A turret clock made by Nottingham clockmaker Reuben Bosworth was installed in 1867. Designed to sound at each hour and quarter-hour, it was given by Mrs Lesiter in memory of her late husband, the Revd Charles Lesiter, who had served as the parish’s vicar. An inscription on the mechanism recorded both the donor and the date of its presentation.
