St Nicholas is a Church of England parish church on Main Street in Askham Bryan, near York, North Yorkshire. It remains the parish church and is protected as a Grade I listed building.
Dating from the 12th century, around 1150, the church was built when William de Tykhill held the parish. Its Norman design combines dressed limestone with rough sandstone and reused Roman brick. The nave and chancel share one continuous interior, accompanied by a southern porch and northern vestry. Rounded windows appear throughout, including a circular opening above the eastern windows. A tiled roof carries a bell turret installed in 1611 and topped by a cross. The porch entrance has three rounded arches decorated with zigzag and leaf patterns. Inside are a pulpit and communion rail from the Jacobean period.
