The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Saint Andrew stands on Kentish Town Road in London. It is an active place of Orthodox worship within the jurisdiction of Constantinople’s Ecumenical Patriarchate and is overseen by Archbishop Nikitas Loulias. The church has Grade II listed status. Ewan Christian designed the building, which was constructed in 1884 and 1885 for the Ecclesiastical Commissioners. It was first dedicated to the Apostle Barnabas. Greek Orthodox worship began there in 1957, and the building was later bought with assistance from the Cypriot Papathomas family. It subsequently took its present dedication to Saint Andrew the Apostle and became a Greek Orthodox cathedral.
