About All Saints

All Saints is a Church of England place of worship on Market Place in central Evesham, Worcestershire. It remains in use as the town’s parish church and holds Grade I listed status. The church shares its churchyard with neighbouring St Lawrence’s, which became redundant in 1977. Their parishes were joined the following year.

Monks from nearby Evesham Abbey established both churches for local residents during the early 12th century. All Saints later followed a markedly Puritan form of worship until Frederick Preedy oversaw extensive restoration between 1872 and 1876, after which an Anglo-Catholic tradition developed. Parish union in 1978 brought a more moderate style of churchmanship. The organ installed during the Victorian works was made by Nicholson in 1875. It was expanded in 1904 and 1967, then substantially reconstructed in 1991 with electronic operation and a movable console.
