The Parish Church of St Giles is a Church of England parish church serving Sheldon in Birmingham, West Midlands. It remains a place of parish worship and is protected as a Grade II* listed building, reflecting its architectural and historic significance.
Christian worship on the site can be traced to 1291, although most of the present structure was built during the 14th century. Slater and Carpenter carried out a restoration in 1867. Thomas Bray became rector in 1690 and later contributed to establishing the Church of England in Maryland. Among the church’s notable features is a pipe organ made by Thomas Hewins, with two manuals and 14 stops.
