About River Church Ipswich

River Church Ipswich is an Anglican congregation in Ipswich, Suffolk, gathering at the historic church known as St Mary-at-the-Quay. Its home lies within the central Waterfront district, near the University of Suffolk. The congregation forms part of the church-planting network associated with Holy Trinity Brompton. University students are among those who attend, and Alpha courses are held on a recurring basis.

Established in September 2021, the church is led by Matt Key and Amy Key, each of whom is ordained within the Church of England. It began as a new congregation with a particular concern for the life of Ipswich. St Mary-at-the-Quay provides its place of worship and a base near both the waterfront and university.
