About All Saints

All Saints is an Anglican parish church at Eaton, in the Retford area of Nottinghamshire. It belongs to the Church of England and forms part of the Elkesley Group, together with congregations at Gamston, West Drayton, Elkesley and Bothamsall. The building has Grade II protection.

Dating from 1860 in its present form, the church was reconstructed in Steetley stone to plans by Manchester architect G. Shaw. H. Bridgeman Simpson of Babworth Hall commissioned the work. A piscina from the fifteenth century remains within the chancel’s southern wall, providing evidence of the earlier building. The interior also contains a compact four-stop pipe organ. One bell hangs in the bell cote and can be moved through an arc to sound.
