About Holy Trinity Church
Holy Trinity Church is an active Church of England parish church in Wysall, Nottinghamshire, within the wider Nottingham area. Standing prominently near the southern end of the village, it is protected as a Grade I listed building. The church forms part of a local group of parishes with churches in Widmerpool and Willoughby-on-the-Wolds.
The building is medieval, with surviving fabric from the 13th century. It comprises a nave, south aisle, chancel, southern porch, and a tower crowned by a spire. The battlemented tower largely reflects Decorated Gothic design from the late 13th or 14th century, while other elements include Perpendicular and earlier Early English work. A former steep roofline remains visible against the tower. The porch underwent restoration during the late 19th century. Inside are memorials associated with the Sacheverell and Armstrong families, an early chancel roof, and surviving original oak pews and pulpit. The churchyard is enclosed by an almost circular wall.
