Established in 1957 under Christ Church, Chilwell, the church was created for the post-war Inham Nook housing development. Its present building was initially planned as a hall, with nearby land reserved for a separate church. When funds for that project did not become available, the existing structure was adapted over several decades. A substantial extension finished in 1999 created a main hall used for worship and community activities, with shutters separating the sanctuary when required. Additional rooms, a kitchen and updated toilet facilities support further church and local activities.
