About St Helen's
St Helen’s is an active Church of England parish church serving Oxendon. It stands beside Harborough Road, north of Great Oxendon, in the Market Harborough area of Northamptonshire. The church has Grade II* listed status and belongs to a united benefice with the parishes of Arthingworth, East Farndon and Harrington.
Most of the current building dates from the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, although the directory records a foundation date of 1201. It was restored during the nineteenth century. Its plan comprises a central nave with an aisle on either side, a chancel and a tower at the western end. Parish records extend back to 1564, with older registers deposited at the Northamptonshire Record Office.
