Saint John The Baptist is an active Church of England parish church at Timberhill in Norwich, Norfolk. It is protected at Grade I in recognition of its historic and architectural importance. Sunday worship takes place at 9:00 am. Earlier names associated the church with the hill, the castle gate and the former swine market.
Although parts of the eastern end survive from the eleventh century, most of the present structure was created during the fifteenth century. Flint and brick form the walls, complemented by dressed stone details. Its windows were renewed or resurfaced during Victorian restoration. A square tower containing five bells fell in 1784; in 1877 it was succeeded by a stone bellcote. The church also houses an organ that underwent extensive alterations during the twentieth century.
