Saint John Maddermarket is a former Church of England place of worship in Norwich, Norfolk, dedicated to Saint John the Baptist. The church holds Grade I listed status and is now cared for by the Churches Conservation Trust. Anglican services ended in 1981, after which a Greek Orthodox congregation used the building from 1982 to 1990.
A church may have occupied the site in the 11th century, while the oldest surviving parts date from the 14th century. Much of the present structure resulted from extensive reconstruction between about 1445 and 1510. Built chiefly of flint with stone and brick details, it has a broad interior, full-length aisles and a four-stage western tower. The tower was rebuilt in 1822, followed by further restoration and internal reordering in 1863. Notable features include carved bosses beneath the tower, a large eastern window, a timber baldachin above the altar, and memorials to figures connected with Norwich.
