St Thomas is an active Church of England parish church on Marton Street in Lancaster, Lancashire. It belongs to the Diocese of Blackburn and follows the charismatic evangelical tradition. The church is protected as a Grade II listed building and is associated with the Evangelical Alliance and New Wine.
Designed by Lancaster architect Edmund Sharpe, the church was erected in 1840–41 on land donated by George Marton. Queen Victoria contributed £150 towards its construction. E. G. Paley added the chancel and northeastern steeple in 1852–53, matching the existing Early English design. Built from dressed sandstone and roofed with slate, it has aisles alongside a six-bay nave, an octagonal spire and tall lancet windows. Interior details include galleries carried on iron columns, Queen Victoria’s arms, east-window glass by William Warrington and Minton tiles in the chancel. John Banfield built the three-manual organ in 1852; it was subsequently rebuilt and relocated.
