About Holy Trinity Church, Dover
Holy Trinity Church, Dover was a former church in Dover, Kent, England. The building no longer stands, having been demolished following wartime damage. Its loss came after the church was struck during the Second World War, when Dover was subjected to both aerial attack and artillery fire from across the Channel.
William Edmunds prepared the design for the church. Construction commenced in September 1833, and the work was finished in 1835, giving the building a history of just over a century before its destruction. German bombing raids and shelling caused the damage that ultimately led to its demolition.
