About Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church

Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church is an active parish church at 41 Brook Green in Hammersmith, London. Opened in 1853, it is protected as a Grade II* listed building. The parish now serves people from varied ethnic backgrounds, including a substantial French-speaking community. Syriac Catholics also use the church for Sunday afternoon Masses in Arabic and Aramaic. The regular Saturday service is at 6.00 pm.

Cardinal Wiseman provided the site and placed the foundation stone on 6 May 1851. William Wardell designed the Kentish ragstone building in a Decorated Gothic form of the Gothic Revival, with aisles on both sides, clerestory lighting and timber roofs supported by arch braces over the nave and chancel. John Hardman supplied its stained glass. A tower stands at the south-west corner, while its later spire is generally credited to Joseph Hansom. A school erected behind the church in 1862 subsequently became parish rooms, and the current presbytery dates from 1964.
