About All Saints Church, East Ham
All Saints Church, East Ham is a Church of England parish church in East Ham, within Greater London. It serves the area associated with the Woodgrange Estate, whose development prompted the establishment of a local place of worship in the late nineteenth century.
The church began around 1880, when services were held in a temporary iron mission building. At that time, the mission formed part of the parish connected with Emmanuel Church. As the neighbourhood grew, All Saints was given a separate parish and a permanent building was constructed beside Romford Road. Completed in 1886, the new church was designed in the Early English architectural style, replacing the earlier iron structure.
