About Hampton Methodist Church

Hampton Methodist Church is a Methodist congregation in Hampton, Greater London. Its building occupies a site beside Percy Road, bounded by Priory Road and Lindon Road. In July 2019, the congregation joined with the former Hampton Baptist Church community to create the Hampton Mission Partnership. This arrangement followed the permanent closure of the Baptist church.

The local Methodist presence began with a Wesleyan chapel erected in 1861 on Church Street. That building served the congregation until another chapel was constructed at Percy Road in 1926. The present church succeeded it and welcomed worshippers from 1963. These three buildings mark the development of Methodist worship in Hampton from its Victorian beginnings to the current premises.
