About Church of All Saints
The Church of All Saints is a Church of England parish church in Beswick, East Riding of Yorkshire, serving the village of Kilnwick. It remains the parish church and has been protected as a Grade II* listed building since 1968.
Originating no later than the 12th century, the church retains medieval fabric in its nave. A northern aisle was constructed early in the following century, with the chancel added later in the same period. The western tower dates from the 15th century and was reconstructed during the 1600s, while much of the wider building was renewed in 1871. Built in stone and roofed with slate, it includes a Norman doorway decorated with carved heads and a beast motif. Inside are a 17th-century pulpit, an 1836 organ in a Gothic-style casing, a font incorporating a 13th-century upper section, and several memorial tablets dating from the 1700s.
