About Holy Trinity Church
Holy Trinity Church is a Church of England church in Denbighshire, Wales, associated with Trefnant in the Denbigh area. It is protected as a Grade II* listed building and belongs to a notable local collection of ecclesiastical and educational buildings designed by George Gilbert Scott.
Built from 1853 to 1855, the church commemorates John Lloyd Salusbury of Galltfaenan Hall. Its construction was funded by members of the Mainwaring family, although accounts differ over the precise benefactors. In 1907, Giles Gilbert Scott added a vestry, paid for by Charles Salusbury Mainwaring. George Gilbert Scott also designed the nearby parsonage, completed in 1860 on land provided by Townshend Mainwaring, and the village school and adjoining schoolhouse. These related buildings are separately listed for their architectural importance.
