About St Hydroc's Church, Lanhydrock

St Hydroc’s Church, Lanhydrock, is an Anglican parish church in the Bodmin area of Cornwall. Built around 1450, it remains part of the Church of England and holds Grade I listed status. Its shared parish also encompasses St Petroc’s at Bodmin, Lanivet Church and St Stephen’s at Nanstallon.

Originating in the fifteenth century, the church later underwent changes commissioned by Sir Richard Robartes, the first Baronet. Further work carried out during 1886–88 restored the building and lengthened its chancel; worship resumed there on 3 October 1888. In 1894, Henry Willis made a pipe organ for Lanhydrock House’s principal music room. The instrument came to the church during the 1930s, before eventually being relocated to St Cuthbert’s at Cubert. An electronic instrument has since replaced it.
