About Holy Trinity Church
Holy Trinity Church is a former Church of England parish church in Bolventor, within the Altarnun area of Cornwall. It served the parish of Bolventor until closing in June 1981 after congregation numbers had declined. The building has held Grade II listed status since 1988 and is now privately owned.
The church was established after Bolventor became a separate parish in 1846 and was designed to seat 150 people. Francis Rashleigh Rodd of Trebartha Hall, who built it, laid the foundation stone in July that year. A diocesan church-building society in Exeter contributed £100 towards the total construction cost of £666. Henry Phillpotts, then Bishop of Exeter, consecrated the completed building on 7 July 1848. Restoration work was finished in 1965. Private owners acquired the property in 2011 and received consent to convert it into a home. After a partial conversion, it changed hands again in 2018.
