Holy Trinity is the Church of England parish church serving Idle, in Bradford, West Yorkshire. Standing on Town Lane, it is a Grade II listed building, a designation granted in 1983, and remains an active place of parish worship.
Idle’s earlier chapel dated from 1630. Construction of the present church began at another location in 1828, and the building was consecrated two years later. John Oates designed it in the Early English Gothic style, using sandstone, and it was funded as a Commissioners’ church. A chancel followed in 1864, with a vestry added later that century. The west tower features buttresses, clocks and a battlemented parapet topped by gabled pinnacles. Lancet windows light the interior, where galleries extend around three sides on grouped iron supports. The east window underwent restoration in 2016 at a cost of £40,000.
