Holy Trinity is an active Church of England parish church in Bosham, West Sussex, within the Chichester district. Its Grade I designation reflects the national importance of a building whose earliest surviving fabric is Anglo-Saxon. A religious community may have occupied the site by the seventh century, when Bishop Wilfrid encountered Irish monk Dicul and several fellow clerics at Bosham.
Constructed from rubble masonry with dressed stone details, the church has a tiled roof and a spire covered in wooden shingles. Anglo-Saxon work remains in the tower’s lower section and in the arches adjoining the chancel and tower. The chancel was lengthened during both the 1100s and 1200s; the later work also included a northern sacristy, while aisles were added around the same period. The tower gained its upper level in the 1400s. Other features include a late 12th-century octagonal font and a south porch dating from the 16th or 17th century.
