St Michael & All Angels Church is a Church of England church on St Michaels Close in Michaelston-le-Pit, Vale of Glamorgan. Dating from around 1200, it is protected at Grade I, the highest category of listed status, which was granted in January 1963.
The church was probably founded by the Reigny family. Its earliest known record is from 1254, when it appeared under the name St Michael de Renny and was assessed at four marks. In later centuries, its patronage was attached to the local manor. Surviving medieval features include a font that disappeared around the Battle of St Fagans before being found in a nearby field. The building also contains the Vale of Glamorgan’s sole three-tier pulpit. At the churchyard entrance, the lychgate commemorates local servicemen who died during the First World War and has its own Grade II designation.
