About St Andrew's Church, Bramfield
St Andrew’s Church, Bramfield is a Church of England place of worship in the Suffolk Coastal area of Suffolk. Both the main building and its tower have Grade I listed status, recognising their special architectural and historic interest.
The church originated during the 1200s, although the separate tower is older, having been constructed in the previous century. Standing apart in the surrounding grounds, the circular tower is unusual: Suffolk has 38 surviving churches associated with towers of this shape, but no other example in the county is detached. Inside, several finely made ledger stones lie in the floor in front of the altar. These commemorate people from the Rabett family and the Nelson family.
