Holy Cross, Gleadless Valley Church is a Church of England church on Spotswood Mount in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. It stands among the homes built on the hillside at Rollestone and remains a distinctive local landmark.
Designed by architects Braddock & Martin-Smith, the church was constructed during 1964 and 1965. Its unusual form includes an angled, triangular frontage crowned by a prominent white cross. Inside, stained-glass windows extending through the full height of the space depict the Virgin Mary and St John; these were created by John Baker. The building also appeared in Shane Meadows’s 2006 television series This Is England.
