About Kingcase Church
Kingcase Church stands in the southern part of Prestwick in South Ayrshire. It is a Church of Scotland place of worship with parish status and forms part of the Ayr presbytery. The congregation gained its present parish standing in 1950.
Built in 1912, the church is constructed from red sandstone. Its modern congregation emerged after the 1929 church union, when four Prestwick churches became part of the Church of Scotland. Worshippers initially gathered in the New Prestwick mission hall connected with St Nicholas Church. The congregation took the name Prestwick Kingcase Church when it received formal recognition in 1934. An extension was added to the building in 1956, while three stained-glass windows also belong to the 1950s.
