Saint Mary's Bathwick is a Church of England parish church in the Bathwick district of Bath, Somerset. Standing on Darlington Street near Sydney Place and the former Sydney Pleasure Gardens, it is protected as a Grade II* listed building and serves the historic parish of Bathwick.
A committee began planning the church in 1810 as the district’s population grew. John Pinch the Elder designed it, with the foundation laid in 1814 and consecration following in 1820. It replaced Bathwick’s medieval church, which was demolished in 1818. The early nineteenth-century Gothic design includes a west tower with an openwork parapet and many-sided pinnacles, a tall nave, aisles, clerestory, three galleries and a curved, ribbed ceiling. G. E. Street added the chancel between 1873 and 1875. Notable fittings include a sixteenth-century Netherlandish polyptych, historic silver plate and Bath’s sole organ by Henry Willis.
