St John’s Church is an active Church of England parish church on St John Street in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. It has Grade II listed status for its architectural and historic significance, while the churchyard wall and gate piers are separately protected at the same grade. Services are held at 8.30 am and 6.00 pm on Sundays, 8.30 am on Mondays and 9.30 am on Thursdays.
Built in 1855–56 to designs by Henry Isaac Stevens, the church was consecrated by John Jackson, Bishop of Lincoln, on 29 July 1856. Its construction was funded largely through a £6,000 bequest from Gally Knight, with further money raised locally. The building is in an Early Decorated Gothic style, with a nave, aisles, chancel, south porch, square tower and octagonal spire. Local stone forms the exterior, while pale Ancaster stone lines the inside. Geometrical window tracery, exposed roof timbers, octagonal arcade columns and a Mansfield stone font are among its notable features.
