St Giles’ Church, Ollerton is a Church of England parish church in Ollerton, near Mansfield in Nottinghamshire. It holds Grade II protection and remains in parochial use. The church forms a shared parish with St Matthew’s Church in Boughton and St Paulinus’ Church in New Ollerton.
The building originated in about 1790. A clock made by Thwaites & Reed was installed in the tower in 1875, replacing or supplementing the earlier timekeeping arrangements. Its mechanism included Cambridge quarter chimes, sounding the passing quarter-hours. The tower clock and chimes are the principal recorded historic features, alongside the church’s late eighteenth-century foundation.
