About St Bartholomew's Church, Kneesall
St Bartholomew’s Church, Kneesall is an Anglican parish church in Kneesall, Nottinghamshire. It belongs to the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham and remains a Church of England place of worship. The church is protected as a Grade I listed building. Its parish grouping also includes churches at Wellow and Laxton, together with Moorhouse Chantry Chapel.
Dating from the fourteenth century, the church underwent several periods of restoration during the nineteenth century. Work was carried out in 1846 and again in 1860, followed by a further restoration in 1893 under the architect Charles Hodgson Fowler. Among its notable fittings is an organ made by Brindley & Foster.
