About All Saints Church

All Saints Church in Louth, Lincolnshire, is a redundant Church of England church cared for by the Churches Conservation Trust. It is protected as a Grade I listed building and is distinguished by its west tower, which leans amid the Lincolnshire marshes.

The church originated in the 12th century and was altered during the next three centuries, as well as in 1611 and 1873. R. J. Withers carried out repairs in 1886. Greenstone, limestone and ironstone rubble form much of the structure, alongside brick, render and limestone detailing. Its design includes Early English and Perpendicular work. The west tower was begun late in the 12th century and heightened in the 15th. Interior features include medieval screens, two pulpits, an 18th-century box pew and a font assembled from elements dating between the 13th and 15th centuries. The church became redundant in 1973.
