About Clarendon Park Congregational Church
Clarendon Park Congregational Church is a place of Congregational worship in Leicester, Leicestershire. It stands on London Road in Stoneygate, close to Clarendon Park, and belongs to the Congregational Federation. The church is recognised for its architectural and historic interest through its Grade II listed status.
Designed by James Tait, the church was completed in 1886, during a century in which several Congregational chapels were established across Leicester. Its construction combines roughly laid granite with carefully finished stone detailing, while red tiles cover the roof. The building received its Grade II designation in 1975.
