About Holy Trinity Church

Holy Trinity Church stands on Kilwardby Street in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire. It serves as a Church of England parish church within Leicester Diocese and is included on the statutory list at Grade II. It also belongs to a shared local ministry linking several churches around Ashby, Breedon and nearby villages.

Henry Isaac Stevens, an architect based in Derby, prepared the design, and construction took place from 1838 until 1840. The site was donated by the Marquess of Hastings, while subscriptions, largely from local residents, and assistance from the Church Building Society funded the work. George Davys, Bishop of Peterborough, conducted the consecration on 13 August 1840. A chancel designed by James Piers St Aubyn followed in 1866. The church also houses a Brindley & Foster pipe organ with two manuals, believed to have been made around 1867.
