Wray Chapel stands on Hornby Road in the Lancashire village of Wray. It is a functioning parish church of the Church of England, within Tunstall deanery, Lancaster archdeaconry and the Diocese of Blackburn. Its shared benefice also includes churches in Leck, Melling, Tunstall, Tatham and Lowgill.
Lancaster architect Edmund Sharpe designed the church, which was constructed between 1839 and 1840 and consecrated by the Bishop of Chester in July 1841. The nave has three bays with groups of lancet windows, while a double bellcote rises at the western end. Paley and Austin enlarged the building in 1879–80, replacing the chancel and adding a porch and organ chamber. Further work by the same architectural practice in 1889 included a replacement nave roof and changes to the west front. A western gallery houses a two-manual organ built by Gray and Davison in 1879 and overhauled in 1980.
