Standing opposite the location of its demolished medieval predecessor, the present church preserves monuments dating from the 15th century onwards. Its chancel was constructed by R. C. A further north aisle followed in 1992. Notable features include flint masonry, red-brick arches, a timber porch and stained glass by Hardman & Co., Morris & Co. and Marguerite Douglas-Thomson. Earlier glass was transferred from the former church in 1867.
