About Cambourne Church

Cambourne Church stands in central Cambourne, Cambridgeshire, and serves as the town’s active Church of England parish church. It is also an ecumenical partnership bringing together Anglican, Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed traditions. Roman Catholics from the local Saint John Fisher community also worship in the church centre. Sunday worship includes traditional and contemporary services, with provision for children and young people, and the church runs a community café.

The church began gathering soon after Cambourne’s earliest residents moved into the newly developed town in 1999. Its first minister, the Revd Peter Wood, took up the post in 2001, and the congregation developed alongside the growing community. The church building occupies a corner site on Jeavons Lane. Its land and premises are held by Shared Churches Ely, representing the participating denominations.
