All Saints is an Anglican place of worship at 29 Victoria Avenue, Porthcawl, in the county borough of Bridgend. Although larger than its parent church, St John’s at Newton, it remains associated with that historic parish. The building received Grade II protection in 1992.
Porthcawl’s expanding population after harbour improvements prompted its creation. A combined chapel and school began operating near the docks in 1866. During the 1890s, this was succeeded by a spacious prefabricated metal structure occupying the current plot. Today’s church was completed in 1914, based on proposals prepared five years earlier. Those plans provided for a tower at the south-eastern corner, but it was omitted and the resulting space was subsequently sealed in brick. Further accommodation, comprising a vestry and a Lady Chapel, was constructed on the north-eastern side during the 1960s. Karl Parsons created the stained glass for the eastern window, which was fitted in 1927.
