About Holy Trinity Church

Holy Trinity Church is an active Church of England parish church in Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire, within the Diocese of Salisbury. Dating from the medieval period, it has been protected at Grade I since 1952. Sunday services are held at 8.00 am and 5.00 pm. Since 2013, the parish has shared a benefice with Westwood and Wingfield.

Built in about 1150, the church initially comprised a nave and chancel. The chancel was extended early in the 13th century, while the present spire and tower replaced an earlier structure around 1480. Part of the south-east wall was reconstructed in 1707, and much of the southern wall was rebuilt during the 19th century. A £2 million refurbishment in 2016 removed Victorian pews and fittings designed by Bath architect John Elkington Gill. Notable features include an unusually long squint beside the altar and a peal of eight bells.
