About LIFE Church UK
LIFE Church UK is a Christian megachurch in Bradford, West Yorkshire. Its main campus includes a coffee shop supplied by a local roaster, while a skatepark adjoins the youth building. The church holds yearly gatherings attracting Christians from across the UK and overseas, and shares services, conference music and other programmes through radio, television, podcasts and YouTube.
Founded by Bryn Jones in 1976, the church emerged from three smaller Bradford congregations with charismatic traditions. It was influenced by the Charismatic Restoration movement associated with Arthur Wallis and initially gathered at the Anglican Church House, leading local people to call it Church House. It later became Abundant Life Church before adopting its present name in 2012, alongside a change in leadership and direction. Steve and Charlotte Gambill became lead pastors that year, and in April 2022 leadership of the Bradford church passed to Jonathan ‘Jock’ and Shirley James.
