Lillington Free Church is an active United Reformed congregation on Cubbington Road in Lillington, Leamington Spa. It retains its Free Church name and has a measure of local independence within the denomination. Worship takes place on Sundays, alongside activities including Sunday school, groups for girls, table tennis, coffee mornings and a toddler café. The minister is supported by ordained elders chosen by members.
The congregation originated in the post-war expansion of free church provision beyond central Leamington Spa. Congregationalists bought the Cubbington Road plot in 1948, and worship began in a Women’s Institute building in 1952. A purpose-built church opened in 1954, followed by a larger replacement in 1966; the earlier structure then became a hall and was extended in 1974. Redevelopment began after the last service in the 1966 building in November 2017. The present church welcomed its first Sunday congregation in January 2019 and was formally opened that March. It accommodates about 80 people and includes a main hall with a stage, foyer, vestry, office and crèche or committee room.
