About St Quiricus & St Julietta
St Quiricus & St Julietta is a Church of England parish church in Clevedon, Somerset. Dating from the 11th century, it is protected as a Grade I listed building. Its dedication is notably rare in the United Kingdom, with only three other churches sharing it.
The chancel is the earliest surviving section and contains a low arch in the Norman style. During the early 13th century, aisles and a southern chapel were added, enlarging both the nave and chancel. Several aisle windows belong to the 14th century, while the tower dates from 1497. Notable fittings include a square font made around 1300, supported by a central column and four slender Purbeck stone shafts, and a carved wooden pulpit from the Jacobean period. Medieval stained glass survives in fragments, including depictions of the Crucifixion and Christ in Majesty.
